Flow & Rebirth Prints by Jay LaCouture
Back in August of this year, Silver Oris and Fourth Wall presented a show called Human Powered Works that
I was lucky enough to be a part of. I created two new prints for the show, and the remaining
pieces are available for your wall-adorning pleasure on antidesigns.com in the Prints
section. Here is the initial sketch for both prints and some process shots I took while creating the two pieces:

MetalWoulfe is Stephen Holding x Dana Woulfe, and what they are
doing is really interesting. As they get ready for painting Primary Flight this year, they have been documenting their evolving experiment via time lapse
video. Hit the play button on these guys, you won't be disappointed.

Get On Down x Anti Designs USA present: Dinosaur L (Arthur Russell)
This summer we had the privilege to work with Boston's own Get On Down on a project of epic proportions. We were asked
to print the outer boxes and record jackets for a Limited Edition 4xLP box of Dinosaur L (Artur Russel). With a print total well into the tens of thousands, this project
will forever be the face of the summer of 2011. Below are some of the process photos taken throughout life of this project.
Prints on the back of the outer box |
Record #4 drying on the rack |
Summer in the city :: caught this while snapping some print run photos |
Built a custom drying rack for the sleeves for this project |
Custom rack shot #2 |
This madness is the print schedule we kept up over the summer. Things got hectic that last week of August! |

Painting with Prints [Video]
Four AntiDesigns team members, Jay LaCouture, Keith Zoo, Josh Falk, and Mikey Maker, got together to collaborate on a one of a kind screen print collage for an upcoming collective group show. Using 15-25 different pre-existing screens, the group painted 3 pieces of found-cardboard using somewhere around 100 passes of the squeegee. The resulting piece is now showing at the Lincoln Arts Project gallery in Waltham, MA until October 28, 2011, as part of the Boston Art Collective show, curated by Fish McGill.

Sink of Destiny
If you've ever screen printed before, you know that the clean up process is usually the least fun part of the job. Over the past few years we've had our share of sink mishaps... from cleaning screens in our kitchen sink in Fenway, to our kitchen sink in Dorchester (ha!), to two or three slop sinks in Norwood... regardless of the sink, the splatter factor is always an issue. I think we painted the walls of the Norwood studio's "sink room" (read bathroom) every 6 months or so.
Step into the now and we just picked up this dream sink setup. Back lit, splatter walls, and enough water pressure to push a hole into your 305 mesh - this sink has made our year.
